Eligibility
Nominations are open to companies, projects, plants, devices, equipment manufacturers, academic institutions, and individuals who have contributed to the oil and gas industry. Public, private, and startup organizations, as well as research and academic institutes, are welcome to apply.
- Proposals for entry will be treated confidential.
Process of Nomination
- Award Nominations for the World Petroleum Technology Awards 2025 can only be submitted via email to dranilgarg2024@gmail.com
- Each nomination must include a 500-word write-up or executive summary, providing a detailed justification for the nomination. This document should highlight the nominee's profile, company overview, brochure, media write-ups, achievements, awards, accolades, published articles, photographs, and other relevant details. The submission must emphasize specific, compelling aspects that make the nomination unique or exceptional, demonstrating why it merits consideration for the World Petroleum Technology Awards 2025.
Nominations for The EEF Global Petroleum Technology Awards 2025 are open on December 1, 2024 and will close on February 28, 2025. The EEF Global Petroleum Technology Awards will be announced on March 15, 2025. Award Ceremony will be held on April 16, 2025.
Criteria for Nominations
To enter a nomination for the World Petroleum Technology Awards 2025, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate significant contributions to the petroleum technology industry. Key areas to emphasize include improved efficacy, energy efficiency, technological innovation, and implementation of sustainable financial models.
- Clearly outline the outcomes and impact of the project or initiative in the submitted proposal.
- Ensure that the awardee (Senior Director, CEO, or Senior Executive) is available to attend the awards ceremony on April 16, 2025, to accept the award.

Nomination Shortlisting & Selection Process
TAfter the submission deadline, nominations will be reviewed by an independent panel of experts. This panel will evaluate and shortlist the entries into relevant award categories. Shortlisting will begin after nominations close on February 28, 2025.
The selected awardees will be announced online on March 15, 2025. The decisions made by the jury are final and binding for all participants.
Winners will be honored at the World Petroleum Technology Awards Ceremony on April 16, 2025.

The EEF World Petroleum Leadership Award
- Recognizes companies, projects, units, or academic institutions (publicly or privately owned) that have achieved outstanding improvements in performance and sustainability in the petroleum sector.
- The CEO/Director/Senior Executive of the shortlisted entity must attend the awards ceremony.
In the event that the Company / Institution / Unit / Project is shortlisted after the nominations process, their CEO/Director/Senior Executive should be available to attend The EEF World Petroleum Leadership Award on April 16, 2025, where the winner will be awarded and honoured with The EEF World Petroleum Leadership Award 2025.
The EEF World Petroleum Technology Idol Award
- Highlights early-stage technologies with a strong potential for commercialization.
- Shortlisted entities must present their technology at the World Petroleum Technology Congress 2025, scheduled for April 15–16, 2025, with a 15-minute presentation during a designated session.
